Junior Research Assistant
Job DescriptionPOSITION OBJECTIVEWorking under moderate supervision, perform research work in medical and related technical.
The applicant will assist with our cancer cell therapy research efforts.
In particular, the research efforts are focused on the development of natural killer cell therapies for cancer.
This person will work closely with more senior members of the lab for their research efforts.
Research responsibilities will include maintaining cell lines, performing flow cytometry analysis and assisting with lab organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform research work in medical and related technical areas involves use of lab skills.
Applicant will assist with maintenance of cancer cell lines.
This will include culture and cryopreservation of cell lines (35%) Conduct analysis of samples.
Applicant will analyze flow cytometry data (30%) Record results for a particular experiment or closely related series of experiments.
Applicant will keep electronic records for all experimental work.
(10%) Maintain records of experiments.
Applicant will keep data and experiment methods organized using electronic database and keeping daily notes of activities.
(10%) Maintain test equipment utilized in experiments.
Applicant will assist in maintaining basic lab equipment used for their work including cleaning, sterilizing and ensuring proper operation of basic equipment.
(9%) Order laboratory supplies.
Applicant will work with our lab members to track lab orders (6%) NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform other duties as assigned.
