Manager Compensation & Benefits - Ohio CAT

Job Description

 Responsible for overseeing the administration of employee benefit programs for Ohio CAT. As needed, this position provides special guidance and assistance to all locations on various employee benefit plans. Surveys industry and/or community to determine company's competitive position in employee benefits. This position develops, recommends and installs approved, new or modified plans and employee benefits policies and supervises administration of existing plans. This position develops cost control procedures to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to company and employee.


Responsible for managing the compensation function. Plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring through audits, legal reports and personal interactions that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.


Business Acumen, Communication, Consultation, Critical Evaluation, Ethical Practice, HR Expertise, Leadership and Relationship Management.


Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field.


Eight to ten years of progressively responsible experience in benefits and compensation area.


Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to benefits and compensation.


Prior supervisory experience. MS Office - Strong with Excel.


CEBS - Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation preferable.


Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel to branch locations will be occasionally required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
